भाग्योदयेन बहुजन्मसमार्जितेन
सत्सङ्गमेव लभते पुरुषो यदा वै ।
अज्ञानहेतुकृतमोहमहान्धकार-
नाशं विधाय हि तदोदयते विवेकः ॥
भागवतमाहात्म्यम् 2.76

bhāgyodayena bahujanma-samārjitena
satsaṅgameva labhate puruṣo yadā vai ।
ajnānahetukṛta-mohamahāndhakāra-
nāśaṁ vidhāya hi tadodayate vivekaḥ ॥

By the fortune acquired over a number of lives in the past, when one gets the association with a Knower (satsaṅga), then alone viveka (discrimination) rises having dispelled the darkness of delusion caused by ignorance.
