Commentary

A great discovery, nay a realization indeed! None should just be over-emotional and over-reacting. But, Arjuna failed in this on inspecting the armies in Kurukshetra. He repeated the error seeing Viśva-rūpa also. Wherever one goes, alas, he takes his nature along! Everyone should learn from Arjuna the lesson of not reacting to situations so tempestuously. Moderation is the watchword for rational humans everywhere.

How deftly Krishna handled the situation, fulfilling Arjuna’s wish to see Viśva-rūpa, nonetheless making him realize his lack, folly. The whole episode is over. His instructor is back to his form and mission – to inspire Arjuna with the message of Self-knowledge, empowering him to act without delusional clinging. Do not miss this permanent lesson and message of Viśva-rūpa.
