Mind Is The Source Of Everything

  • Mind Is The Source Of Everything

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

Swamiji clarifies that our mind is not a physical part of the body. It is associated with the body. Body is inert but mind and intelligence are not inert.

Our eyes are the smallest organs in our body, but they can see infinite distances. The power and presence that have made the eyes, the hands, skull and brain, its potential and greatness is infinite. When we refer to the mind and intelligence, we refer to the potential of this PRESENCE. One never sees the world outside. It is the mind that takes the mental imprint, and that imprint is what we experience. So, in the experience of the world, the mind is crucial.

The mind produces many thoughts, emotions, reactions, knowledge and doubts. All are mental products alone. Whatever the mind produces, they do not affect the mind. Every interaction produces only two impacts in the mind–pleasant-unpleasant, happiness-unhappiness. They are mind’s products and once they are assimilated by the mind, they cannot affect the mind.

Swamiji urges everyone to feel the presence of the mind, far more than the world outside. One must think about the mind, probe into it more and more. The three states, Sleep, dream and wakefulness, are also a product of mind.
