In this Satsang, explaining the verses of the Bhagavad Gita, Swamiji speaks about the expansive, universal vision of a Yogi. One who perceives the same Self everywhere, in both Sukha and in Duhkha, is considered the Supreme Yogi. He sees both sukha (joy) and duhkha (sorrow) as extensions of the same Truth.

For a seeker, the journey begins with experiencing the Self within the body. But through constant introspection and reasoning, he realizes that the Self is not confined to the body—it pervades everywhere. It permeates the paanchabhutik body and also permeates the panchabhutas in the whole creation.

When the omnipresence of the Self is understood, one’s vision expands. With a universal outlook, he lives and moves naturally, and joyfully. His every thought, and awareness reveals only Brahman (the universal presence) to him. Outwardly he may be acting and interacting in any manner, but inwardly he is well-established in the Self.

All the shackles of his mind and intelligence get dissolved and he becomes liberated. Whatever the external situation, he remains contented. He becomes a towering personality, deriving strength from the knowledge of his own identity. He moves in the world immersed in the bliss of self-knowledge.
