In this Satsang, Swamiji emphasizes that seekers must strive to make the mind peaceful, calm and composed. When the mind is composed, the seeker will have the most exalted happiness (Sukha).
Ashtavakra Gita says that thinking brings about duhkha. If one can be devoid of thoughts, then the mind will become poised, calm. When the seeker has a firm conviction that ‘I am not the body, I am the sentience’, he attains the Supreme state and has no sense of having done or not having done anything. He becomes pure, peaceful, free of all doubts and is unconcerned about attainments or non-attainments. Realizing that the multifarious world is not real, he does not desire anything. He remains established in the consciousness and remains calm and quiet.
Remaining established in the Self, the Yogi becomes free of all blemishes. When the mind becomes calm and poised, he enjoys endless Sukha, arising from Brahman. Having attained Yogic integration, he starts perceiving everything alike, with equal vision. He perceives the Self as abiding in all beings and all beings as subsisting in the Self.
He, who is able to see the Lord everywhere and everything as inhering in the Supreme, he never loses the Supreme. When a seeker starts worshipping the Singular, all-pervading, universal presence, with the mind steeped in Oneness, he may be living and interacting in the world, but he resides in the Supreme/God.
