In this Satsang, Swamiji describes the state of a Yogi, as explained in the Bhagavad Gita. By the process of quietening the mind and by introspection on the Truth, he attains Supreme bliss. All his desires get dissolved and he experiences the sukha emerging from Brahman/Self. When the goal of meditation is attained, he becomes equipped to experience the meditational contentment, and calm in the post-meditational hours too.

Yoga Vasishtha Ramayana says that when one thought in the mind subsides and another arises, there is an in-between state between the two thoughts, which is free of thoughts or any mentation. This middle state is considered to be one’s own real nature. When all the thoughts and imaginations subside and when there is no inertness, oblivion, or sleep, that is one’s own real nature.

The seeker must nourish the mind with good and noble thoughts, feelings, and emotions. He must nurture the intelligence by employing it to think about the Subject Self, as different from the objects. This mento-intellectual growth is the sole focus in spirituality. In meditation, when the mind is fed by
the single thought of Brahman/Self, making the thought-process itself cease, the state one attains is called Samadhi.

Scriptures say that the state of non-dualness, Oneness is not possible without the blessings of the Sadguru. By the grace of the Guru and by devotion to the Guru, it can be attained. Guided by the Guru, through the practice of introspection and discrimination, the seeker can attain the Supreme state.
