In this Satsang, Ma reads and explains sections from Poojya Swamiji’s book-My beloved Baba. In the book, Swamiji writes about his Deeksha (initiation) and his subsequent Sadhana and his close association with his Guru, Baba.

Mundakopanishad speaks about how Shaunaka (a great householder) went to the saint Angiras and sought the knowledge, by which he could attain fulfilment. Reading the text, Swamiji felt that his own transformation in Sadhana was happening because of the association with Baba and the Deeksha given by him. Each utterance of the Upanishad was a support and confirmation of his own direct experience in Sadhana.

The Upanishad says that avoiding inattention (Pramada), the seeker must strive to attain his goal, realization of his own real identity. The only hindrance to attaining the goal is one’s own inattention. Desires, and expectations cause inattention in the mind and the seeker must scrupulously avoid it. If the mind strays away from the goal even slightly, it uncontrollably goes from one object to another.

The Self can be attained when the whole being is purified, and by adherence to truth, austerity, mature wisdom, and celibacy. Ma says that a reader may read the book ‘My beloved Baba’ and admire Swamiji’s diligent and intense Sadhana and the subsequent transformation. But the Sadhana of a seeker must be to read deeply, introspect on it, assess one’s own Sadhana, and follow in Swamiji’s footsteps.
