The relationship between a Guru and a disciple is different from all worldly relationships. He guides the seeker in the spiritual path and shows the path to fearlessness. In this Satsang, Ma continues to read and explain the Bengali book ‘Sadguru Saannidhya’, which was published as a dedication to Baba Gangadhara Paramahamsa. Reading out Baba’s letters, she says that the letters were a beacon for her seeking heart and are an inspiration and guidance for any sincere spiritual seeker.
Baba says that a seeker must take the name of God constantly and understand that the Lord is the only controller of everything. Because of his wish and grace, the world is functioning in an excellent manner. When a seeker has such a strong conviction and faith, he will have no fear. When the remembrance of God is constant, lot of his worldly requirements will be met naturally and providentially. The all-merciful God will provide everything he needs.
In his advice to householder seekers, Baba says that all household and worldly responsibilities must be done excellently. A seeker must do all the activities with all sincerity and not consider them a botheration. When all duties of life are performed with Vichara (introspection), it will bring only happiness. He must regard everything as part of Sadhana. If a Sadhaka enjoys every object with the knowledge that everything is given by the Lord, then he will not get attached to anything. The clinging to the objects will get converted to love for the Lord.
There are people who remain happy and contented even amidst material poverty; and there are people who weep and lament having all the riches of the world. In the world, one has to pass through both highs and lows. The seeker must strive to float with the tide, and not against the tide. A Jnani, a Knower, is able to course through all sufferings without getting affected.
