Day 2 of 5-Day lecture series by Poojya Swamiji based on Bhagavad Gita during 58th Jamshedpur Jnana Yajna.

CIRD Jamshedpur
In this Satsang, Swamiji reiterates that all conflicts are experienced in the mind and the solution lies in the intelligence. The objective cause of suffering may be anything, but the conflict is experienced in the mind. The conflict of the mind should be analyzed and the solution must be generated by the intelligence.
In the Kurukshetra battlefield, when Arjuna faced the reality of having to fight his own beloved grandfather, teacher and his own kith and kin, he crumbled. His own mind and intelligence deserted him at the time of need. He told Krishna that he would not fight the gory war. When admonished by Krishna that it was sheer weakness, and not becoming of a warrior, Arjuna confessed that his mind was in grief and he was confused about the future course of action. He requested Krishna to instruct him on the right course of action, as a Guru would a disciple.
There was an ethical conflict raging in Arjuna’s mind and as a result he was grieving. Sri Krishna decided to make Arjuna introspect over his grief, by saying that the wise do not grieve over the dead or the living. Arjuna was grieving over the impending death of soldiers of both armies, and Sri Krishna instructed him about the eternal Self. The body is born and it dies, but the Self is eternal, ever-existent. The ‘I’ (The Self) is different from the body. All the suffering is only because of the ignorance of this fact.
Swamiji emphasizes that the solution for every problem or conflict lies in the intelligence. Whatever the severity of the conflict, the rational intelligence can resolve it. In human life, there must be a close harmony between the emotional mind and the rational intelligence.
