Sadhana is removing asadhana

In this talk, Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha speaks about how the ancient spiritual thinkers of India expounded the Supreme Truth of our Eternal, Universal, Unconditional Identity, referred to as ‘I’.

However, this real identity, which is ever-present in all states, different from the limited body, mind, intelligence and ego, is missed, due to undesirable traits. Swamiji guides the seekers not to look for the Self by undertaking various sadhanas, but instead remove all the coverings and strip oneself of all mental perversions and constrictions. With this undoing and dissolution of all negative traits, automatically the expanded mind reveals the ever-present, pristine self.

A resplendent Knower of Truth is a repository of virtues and naturally expresses freedom from desires and fear, is compassionate, non-possessive, even minded and has no attitude of doership or enjoyership.
