Guru-shishya relationship is very significant in a seeker’s life. Baba (Gangadhara Paramahamsa), Swamiji’s Gurudev, gave Brahmavidya Deeksha to Swamiji, which he pursued diligently.

The Guru gives the Sadhana and it is for the seeker to pursue the Sadhana and realize his own real identity. One attains immortality when, in every state of awareness, one feel or perceives the same Truth.

Swamiji says that whatever comes to his mind is the advice given to him by Baba, and that he has molded his whole life and personality according to what Baba said and what the scriptures say. So, he did not have to ask for any specific guidance from Baba. The whole process worked within—in the mind, intelligence, and heart.

But when Baba was living, Swamiji would openly share everything with him. Even now, there is no feeling of separation from him. Whatever he does is in Baba’s light, his splendor.
