Twenty-three participants including a few newcomers took part in an enlightening and insightful workshop led by Nutan Swamiji.
In the opening lecture Nutan Swamiji explained that we might listen and understand lectures with enthusiasm and inspiration, even meditate or read the scriptures regularly, but transformation in our personality doesn’t come because of the ‘grooves’ we are stuck in.
The purpose of the workshop was to help us identify our own individual grooves, and understand how to get out.Apart from Nutan Swamiji’s opening lecture, the process was aided by guided introspection, shloka learning and group discussions where each group generated questions which Nutan Swamiji answered at the end of the day.
Ultimately, Swamiji said, the essential groove all of us are in is ignorance of our real identity, which only makes us small and selfish. The way out therefore, is to expand our minds and realize our real Self which is universal, unchanging and unaffected.
Many participants felt that the workshop had exceeded their expectations. They came away with a clearer recognition of their own grooves and a better understanding of how to move beyond them.
