Prabhata Rashmih - The Practice of Sadhana

The role of Vairagya in achieving joy, delight and contentment

Pujya Swamiji, extolls Viveka, the art of discrimination between the Real and the unreal objects (Nitya-Anitya Vastu Viveka).

When one starts applying Viveka, one starts developing dispassion or Vairagya. One starts understanding that everything is perishable in the world and that joy is an evolute of the human mind alone.

Instead of, encouraging the mind to interact with world objects, a seeker must encourage the mind to introspect and reach the self, which is the abode of joy and contentment.

Dispassion enables the individual to live in this world, with, strength, composure and stability. Shlokas chanted in the Track:

अनिष्टमिष्टं मिश्रं च त्रिविधं कर्मणः फलम् ।

Bhagavad Gita 18.12

अधिष्ठानं तथा कर्ता करणं च पृथक्विधम् ।
विविधाश्च पृथक्चेष्टा दैवं चैवात्र पञ्चमम् ।।

Bhagavad Gita 18.14
