Is it necessary to have a Guru? Swamiji answers this commonly asked question very clearly. The Guru explains Brahmavidya to the disciple, gives deeksha which the seeker can practice. That practice will purify his mind and heart and enlighten his intelligence and he will be able to realize the truth in his own heart.

A seeker of Truth may have a goal in mind but he is, usually, not clear about the path he should take. A Guru is one who will be able to guide him in this path. So, the guidance of a Guru is vital in the Spiritual path.
