Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha ji, in this audio, beautifully explains what Brahma Vidya Sadhana (pursuit) is.

Meditative absorption is only the initial stage in the Knowledge pursuit, says Swamiji. Important Sadhana is to reform and refine the mind and intelligence through introspection. Chanting a verse from Bhagavad Gita, he says that Kama (Attraction) and Krodha (Repulsion) have to be sublimated by a seeker. This will lead to Spiritual redemption.

Shlokas chanted in this audio:

(Bhagavad Gita–2.70)

(Bhagavad Gita–5.26)
