Prabhata Rashmih - The Practice of Sadhana

Self-Knowledge is Equal to Evenness of the Mind

What should be the sole focus of the spiritual seeker? In this audio, Swamiji categorically states that the mind should be the sole focus of the seeker.

In Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna says that self-knowledge is the sublimity, purity and evenness of the mind. That is the factor which has to be sublimated and refined. The mind has to remain even minded to all external situations and also to the resultant impacts in the mind. This evenness of mind is the answer to all problems and challenges in life. The mind has to become harmonious and even.

Shlokas chanted in the track:

सुखदुःखे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ ।
ततो युद्धाय युज्यस्व नैवं पापमवाप्स्यसि ।।

(Bhagavad Gita 2.38)
