Prabhata Rashmih - Nurturing Good Qualities

  • Qualities - Proximity to the Sadguru and Purity of Mind

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

In this message, Swamiji speaks about the qualities mentioned in the thirteenth chapter. A seeker has to assess his own personality, its merits, demerits, the desirables and the undesirables, eliminating the undesirable, installing or incorporating the desirable. It is a sādhanā that is done in the sensory, oral, mental levels and the intelligence levels.

A seeker must make sure that he practices external and internal purity. He should live, act, move, talk and think in such a manner that it has a purifying effect on himself. In the matter of understanding the self, gaining the necessary knowledge and realization, and becoming a jeevanmukta, the close association with the Sadguru is inevitable. A seeker must also have stability in his sādhanā, he must be unwavering, unshakeable, unassailable in his pursuit.

Shlokas chanted in the Track:

अमानित्वमदम्भित्वमहिंसा क्षान्तिरार्जवम् ।
आचार्योपासनं शौचं स्थैर्यमात्मविनिग्रहः ।।

(Bhagavad Gita 13.8)
