Ananda (bliss) is a parameter of the Soul; Brahman is of the nature of Ananda. When the human mind transcends all smallness, and fragmentation, it attains the state of infinitude which generates bliss. When a seeker purifies his mind and intelligence, he is flooded with Ananda.

Consciousness is the revealer. It reveals the external world of objects, and also the internal world of thoughts, emotions etc. By revealing everything, it does not get affected. It is free of all limitations and fragmentation. Consciousness is known as the fourth (Turiya). It is not the wakeful, sleep or dream states, but it encompasses the three states.

Contemplating on Brahman, the seeker introspects: ‘That which is the nature of Ananda (bliss) and Consciousness (the Revealer), which is untouched by the world, which is bereft of all limitations and fragmentations, which is Turiya (the fourth)-transcending the three states-wakefulness, dream and sleep and can be attained only by the Vritti “I am Brahman”- that unchanging Supreme Brahman am I.’
