Journey to Jamshedpur
On October 15th, Poojya Swamiji along with Ma set out for Jamshedpur. They were joined by Brahmacharinis Namrata Swaroopa and Rijuta Swaroopa as well as Suresh Babu and Usha Suresh. Due to a bandh called by a Naxalite group in Jharkhand, the group stayed overnight in Ranchi. After a restful pause, they resumed their journey by car at 11 a.m., arriving in Jamshedpur by 1:30 p.m.
A Warm Welcome
Devotees of Jamshedpur welcomed Poojya Swamiji and Ma with hearts brimming with devotion, having waited eagerly for their Gurudev’s arrival. Poojya Swamiji and Ma were lovingly escorted to the Satsang hall, where Aarati was performed to Poojya Swamiji. Then devotees offered a garland to Swamiji and Ma, each gesture steeped in reverence. After the collective offering of pranams, Swamiji and Ma retired to their rooms and settled down for the 2-week intensive programme.
Satsangs that stirred the soul (16th & 18th
October)
On the 16th and 18th evenings, Poojya Swamiji conducted Satsang in Hindi, drawing a full house of devoted seekers. With heartfelt fervour, Swamiji urged everyone to be immersed in the study of Bhagavad Gita, emphasizing the importance of consistent reflection of its timeless wisdom.
During the sessions, Ma also spoke about the unwavering dedication of Poojya Swamiji behind the Malayalam translation of the Bengali work Sadguru Sannidhya, highlighting how the project exemplified Nishkāma Karma – selfless action performed with devotion, free from delusional clinging to the results.
Swamiji’s Message: Practical Path to Spiritual Growth
Swamiji emphasized three key areas for managing life: understanding our inner personality, navigating in the outer world and mastering the art of interaction – all beautifully guided by Bhagavad Gita’s messages. He encouraged devotees to use CIRD satsang hall for reading, contemplation and silent reflection.
Rejecting the notion that householders are exempt from spiritual pursuit, Swamiji reminded everyone that dharma must be upheld by those living in the world. This inner pursuit and its progress require only the mind and intellect – not renunciation. The omnipresent Divine, he said, is grasped through refined intellect, not by the senses. He stressed the importance of dispassion, knowledge and interactional sadhana, urging all to embrace the Truth that we are all children of the Divine.

He encouraged the youth to recognize the strength of their mind and intellect, urging them never to feel weak but to stay focused on their studies. CHC children arrived in the evening wearing their newly received dresses, and went around placing diyas (earthen oil lamps) in all areas of CIRD. Firecrackers had been bought specially for them. Soon, CIRD was illumined by diyas, generating radiance around. Devotees carefully oversaw the enthusiastic children joyfully lighting sparklers and other firecrackers. The celebration concluded with everyone receiving prasada from Swamiji.
Discourses in English (22nd–26th October)
From October 22nd to 26th, Poojya Swamiji delivered a five-day discourse series in English titled “Bhagavad Gita – The Essential Message for You.” It was for the first time that Swamiji presented Gita in this unique format – guiding devotees through selected verses from chapters 2, 3, 5, 6, 12, 15, and 18, focusing its core message. This approach brought remarkable clarity in understanding Bhagavad Gita, making its relevance and depth accessible to all.
Swamiji emphasized that Gita is a Karma-śāstra – a scripture of action – meant to empower us to act with poise, resolve and harmony, undisturbed by outcomes. He explained that spirituality is a mento-intellectual pursuit, open to anyone who applies his mind and intellect sincerely.
The central theme was Samatva Buddhi – equanimity of intelligence. Swamiji taught that all interactions result in either pleasantness or unpleasantness, and cultivating equanimity towards both expands and refines our inner personality. With this refinement, our performance excels and perceptions deepen.
Swamiji also highlighted Krishna’s divine assurances in Gita, offering inner strength, clarity, and hope to seekers. The exposition was deeply inspiring, revealing how Samatva Buddhi can be cultivated and pursued in daily life, enriching and empowering our mind every time.
Ma Gurupriyaji’s discourses in Hindi (Oct 22-25)Ma’s Discourses in Hindi (22nd–25th October)
From October 22nd to 25th, Ma delivered a series of discourses in Hindi based on Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, centred on the theme ‘Freedom from Sorrow, Delusion, and Fear’ (śoka, moha tathā bhay se mukti). Drawing from selected ślokas, Ma gently guided the audience on how to overcome inner turmoil through devotion, clarity and surrender.
She explained how Śrīmad Bhāgavatam reveals the path to inner freedom – by cultivating dispassion, deep faith, and a loving connection with the Divine. Through stories and verses, Ma showed how sorrow dissolves in surrender, delusion fades with knowledge and fear vanishes in the light of devotion.
Interactive session with school childrenInteraction with students (30th October)
On October 30th, CIRD Jamshedpur hosted a vibrant and thought-provoking Students’ Programme titled ‘Achieving Excellence – Discovering Your Inner Resources’. Around 150 students from classes 9 and 11, representing 10 schools in and around Jamshedpur arrived with their teachers for a rare opportunity to engage with Poojya Swamiji and Ma.
In his opening address, Swamiji introduced the students to a profound inner hierarchy: the senses governed by the mind, mind guided by intellect, and intellect illumined by Ātmā – our true Self. This framework, he explained, is the key to unlocking inner strength and clarity.
Swamiji spoke with warmth and precision about real-life challenges students face – peer pressure, distractions, academic stress and the need for open communication with parents. He encouraged them to build focus, nurture self-confidence, approaching studies with sincerity and resolve.
The session blossomed into a lively Q&A, where students asked heartfelt questions: “How do I overcome lack of focus?”; “How can I convince my parents about my career choices?”; “What should I do when I feel anxious before exams?”
Poojya Swamiji responded with compassion and clarity, offering practical wisdom rooted in spiritual insight. Ma’s gentle presence and affirmations added depth to the interaction, making the students feel seen, heard and uplifted.
The atmosphere was charged with enquiry, reflection and a sense of possibility.
For many students, it was a transformative experience – a glimpse into the power of inner resources and the instant and sure guidance available when one turns inward. Teachers too expressed gratitude for the rare blend of spiritual wisdom and practical vision.
