Interactional Saadhana - A Bhagavad Gita Message

Swamiji describes Bhagavad Gita as an administrative gospel. It is a dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna. It was delivered in the warfield, when Arjuna’s mind and senses were scorched by violent grief. For the mind it was grief, for the intelligence it was doubt and enquiry. Both were assuaged in the course of the dialogue.

All forms of activity–be it living in a forest in an austere manner or fighting in Kurukshetra–are propulsions of nature. While doing work, when the mind is not trapped by likes and dislikes, the work becomes spiritual, divine, and devotional. This advice is applicable to everyone, for most of what Krishna says is general,fundamental and universal.

Swamiji explicitly emphasises that the dialogue has a whole time application in life and the message can be incorporated in interactions at all times, by every one of us.
