Poojya Swamiji says that the mind is of 2 types – pure and impure. The same mind becomes pure and impure.

The excessive attachment to the sensory objects of the world leading to sensory enjoyments conduces to bondage. The mind keeps struggling and cannot be contented and quiet. When the mind is free from their stranglehold, then it is said to be free.

How to make the mind pure? A seeker must focus on removing the impurity and restoring purity. Contentment and joy as much as sorrow belong only to the mind, as they are experiences produced by the mind.

Swamiji elaborates that the mind, intelligence and ego get purified by beautiful narrations like the Srimad Bhagavatam, listening to these holy stories, chanting the names of God. To the extent we are purified, to the same degree we are able to perceive the self.

Shlokas chanted in the Track:

Amritabindu Upanishad 2

Amritabindu Upanishad 1

Srimad Bhagavatam 11.6.43

Srimad Bhagavatam 11.14.26
