The scriptures have done a very incisive analysis of our personality. They discuss the effect of each Guna on the human mind and intelligence. A seeker has to understand which Guna is predominant in his own personality. He must strive to outlive the Rajasic and Tamasic predominance and cultivate more and more Saatvic traits.

प्रारभ्य विघ्नविहता विरमन्ति मध्याः ।
विघ्नैः पुनः पुनरपि प्रतिहन्यमानाः
