Ma Gurupriya

02 – Srimad Bhagavatam – Swamini Ma Gurupriya – Lessons from a Supreme Devotee – Prahlada

1275 Views | 2 years ago

Lessons in supreme devotion continue from young child Prahlada, through universal mother, Ma Gurupriya. From understanding what true devotion is and how it transforms us, we are now given crucial instruction on how to grow in devotion.

As Ma herself has learned and lived, to grow in devotion is to keep association with the Wise, who feel neither desire nor possessiveness for anything in the world because they have realized the ultimate treasure - the Lord within. So blessed are we, that our compassionate Spiritual Masters not only allow us to have this association, but keep it going through these regular Satsangs. In them we see what one-pointed devotion and dedication to the path bring – love and friendliness towards all beings, with an unshakable anchorage in the inner Self.

Verses discussed:
Srimad Bhagavatam 7.9.17-19, 7.5.32, 3.25.24, 7.9.24
Bhagavad Gita 14.6, 7.17, 10.4-5, 7.4-5, 7.18
Kathopanishad 1.1.26, 2.3.14

Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
