Ma Gurupriya

090 – by Swamini Ma Gurupriya – Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness

How does a jnani or a knower differ from an ordinary person? What are the unique characteristics of a jnani? In this satsang, Ma elegantly describes the nature and qualities of a realised soul, a Mahatma.

A liberated man does all activities just like any other person, perhaps with more zeal and efficiency. Externally they both appear to be the same, but internally there is a world of difference. While the ignorant man is full of desires, anxiety and fear, the knower is always calm and restful. He is always Self Seated and never falls from that position.

A knower is free of all desires and expectations. His mind is contented in tasting the nectarine joy of the Self. He lives in the world with an attitude of Samatva, gracefully accepting whatever comes in life - favorable or unfavorable, equally. A note of naturalness and harmony embellishes all his interactions.

Seeing everything as an expression of his own Self, he remains unmoved and unaffected. Such is the exalted state of the Jnani, attaining which nothing more remains to be gained and remaining where, even the greatest of adversity will not agitate him. He lives and sparkles in his own inner spiritual splendour!

Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
