Ma Gurupriya

041 – by Swamini Ma Gurupriya – Real Spiritual Progress comes from Loving Virtues

1258 Views | 2 years ago

In this satsang Ma talks about 'lack of intensity in seeking' - which is a common defect found in most seekers. This lack of one-pointedness in seeking is a significant hurdle in our path. Inspite of learning many shastras, spending many years practicing sadhana and even having an association with the Guru, we find ourselves far away from the goal.

Three types of vaasanas - deha, shastra and loka vaasana are inherently present in a small or large measure in all of us. Very often, our minds chase one or more of these vaasanas. Ma says, this happens because we do not give the Supreme, the supreme place in our lives. It means, we are not steadfast in our pursuit to realize our true identity.

Ma enlightens us that whether we are at home or in ashram, the sadhana is to observe the tendencies of the mind and introspect sincerely why it gets distracted so easily? Only when we have an intense yearning for Atma, in exclusion of everything else - will the Atma reveal itself.

Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
